Couple photoshoot at the canal edge and in the narrow lanes of the canal ring
A couple photoshoot that starts sitting at the edge of a canal and winds through the narrow lanes nearby: red-and-white posts, street lamps, carved front doors, red double doors and brick steps. About 45 minutes.

Where we walked
1. At the edge of the canal
We began sitting on the canal edge of a quiet, tree-lined street. From behind, with the sun on the water, the frame is all Amsterdam and no posing.
2. Narrow lanes
A few steps away the lanes get narrow, paved in cobbles and lined with red-and-white posts. Leaning on one of them turns into a laugh and a kiss within seconds.
3. Street lamps and carved doors
An old lamp with a long row of canal houses behind, then the steps of a house with a carved wooden door.
4. Red doors and a star window
The red double doors that appear in several of our sessions, and a green door under a star-patterned window a little further on.
5. Brick steps in the sun
We finished on a sunny street of brick houses, with a walk towards the camera and a few close frames on the front steps.
When this was shot
The session ran from a quarter past eleven to noon. In the narrow lanes the sun reaches the street only in places, so we move between sun and shade to keep the light soft on faces.
