Photos of you, not of the canals
Everyone flies home with three hundred photos of canal houses and not one good picture of themselves in front of them. These are our Amsterdam clients, photographed by our Amsterdam team this year.

Photoshoots in Amsterdam
Each one comes with a planned route, direction from start to finish, a private gallery and phone clips the same night. Honeymoon, anniversary, birthday, babymoon or a trip with friends: pick the occasion, we plan the rest.

Couples
Bridges, houseboats and a photographer who keeps the conversation going. Honeymoons, anniversaries, first trips together.

A canal cruise lasts an hour. These photos stay.
Our hour costs roughly what a private boat does, and the boat can’t give you this: the two of you together in the picture, in Amsterdam, looking like yourselves.
Never done a photoshoot? Most people haven’t. We direct you from the first bridge, and by the second one most couples have forgotten the camera.
What the canal hour feels like
It is a slow walk with someone who knows the city, and the photos happen on the way. This is the hour most couples book.
The start
We meet at a quiet bridge
A spot you can find on a map, near a tram stop. Your photographer is already there, coffee in hand if you like.
The first ten minutes
Walking and talking
The camera stays mostly down. You get used to each other, and we get to know how you move.
The middle of the hour
Three or four backdrops
Houseboats, a canal-house stoop, a bridge with bikes. We guide you, you just enjoy each other.
The end
We finish near a café
You sit down, the videos land on your phone that evening, the gallery follows within a week.
Surprise proposals in Amsterdam
Rain, a canal pontoon, an umbrella. This proposal was photographed by our Amsterdam photographer, who looked like any other tourist with a camera until the ring came out.

We pick the spot
A bridge or a canal corner that works at your hour.
You get a simple plan
How to get there, what to say, how we recognise you.
We photograph the moment
The question and the reaction, then 30 to 40 minutes as a couple.
Videos the same day
Send them to your families before you call.
Where we shoot in Amsterdam
We choose three or four backdrops within a short walk, in an easy order for your hour.
Jordaan and Brouwersgracht
Houseboats, quiet bridges and the canal-house rows people picture when they think of Amsterdam.
The Nine Streets and Herengracht
Narrow bridges, shop fronts and the grand houses of the canal ring.
Magere Brug and the Amstel
The white drawbridge over wide water. Best early in the day.
Keukenhof and the tulip fields
Half a day out of the city in spring, in flower fields near Keukenhof where visitors are welcome to take photos.

Amsterdam photoshoots by season
Spring
Keukenhof is open from 18 March to 9 May 2027, and the tulip fields around it peak in mid-April. On King’s Day, 27 April, the centre fills with people in orange, so that day we shoot early or away from the canals.
Summer
In June the sun rises around 05:15 and sets after 22:00. We shoot early in the morning or after seven in the evening, when the light is low and the streets are calmer.
Autumn
The elms along the canals turn yellow from late October, and the sun stays low all day. Showers are more frequent; if it rains on your day, we find you a new date at no cost.
Winter
In December the sun sets around 16:30. From late November to mid-January the Amsterdam Light Festival puts artworks along the canals, and a session at blue hour can end among them.
Amsterdam photoshoot packages
Three packages, one way of working. The longer ones are not cheaper per hour: they come with more, from sneak peeks to an edited reel.

Your photographer in Amsterdam
Natalia photographed every session on this site, from the surprise proposal on a canal pontoon to the couples in the western canal ring. She knows which canals stay quiet in high season and where the morning light lands first.
From the first minute she shows you where to stand and what to do with your hands, and catches the moments in between that you would never think to pose for.
Good to know before you book
Who can come
Couples, families with kids of any age, friends, dogs. No one in the group needs to have done this before.
What to bring
Comfortable shoes for cobbles and bridges, and a layer for the wind off the water. Flowers or props are welcome.
If plans change
Rain or a delayed flight: we find you a new date at no cost. Cancel more than two weeks ahead and the deposit is refunded.
Accessibility
Tell us about prams, wheelchairs or slow walkers and we keep the route short, flat and close to a tram stop.
