Built around the children

Timed around naps

We plan the session around naps and meals. With small children a morning start usually works best, before anyone is tired.

Games, not poses

We keep the children moving: walking, running, being lifted and spun. The photos come out of the play, and the posed family portrait is taken early, while everyone is fresh.

Everyone in the frame

Grandparents, babies in a carrier, the dog: up to five people is the same price. For six and more, ask and we send a quote.

What to bring

Two or three colours that sit well together, not matching outfits. Comfortable shoes for the cobbles, a layer for the wind off the water, and a spare top for the little one.

Snacks, a favourite toy and the pram are all welcome. Tell us about naps, prams or slow walkers and we keep the route short, flat and close to a tram stop.

Family photoshoot questions

Yes. We work at the child’s pace, plan around naps and keep the route short. The family session in our portfolio was with a toddler.

We pause, wait and carry on. Toddlers swing from tears to giggles in a minute, and the giggles right after a break are often the best frames.

Yes. We choose flat routes along the quays and streets, so a pram or a wheelchair is no problem.

Up to five people is the same price. For six and more, ask and we send a quote.

Usually the morning, after breakfast and before the first nap. We suggest a start time when we plan your route.

If heavy rain is forecast we move the session for free. Light rain and grey skies still photograph well.
